The first single off of Jinbo’s ambitious mixtape project, KRNB, “Damn” is a salacious re-interpretation of the Girls’ Generation hit “Gee.” Here, Jinbo channels the passion of a young D’Angelo, with sexually charged lyrics that invoke comparisons to some of R. Kelly’s earlier work. If “Gee” was a bubbly amusement park coaster ride for K-Pop fans, than expect “Damn” to be the sonic equivalent to a Soul Train ride—and one they will not want to forget.
